Tampa Electric team members continue to be right at home helping improve the energy efficiency of homes in the community.

In 2013, the goal of the company’s Neighborhood Weatherization program was to upgrade 3,000 homes with a variety of tools and measures that prevent energy loss.

The final tally of weatherized homes for the year: 3,725.

“Weatherization works and Tampa Electric is making it happen,” said Heather Santana, Weatherization program manager. “More customers are seeing firsthand that we back up our words about energy efficiency with actions that can make a real difference in improving how their homes use electricity, which helps them lower their electric bills.”

Tampa Electric partners with Neighborhood Service Centers to determine which homes qualify for weatherization upgrades.
