Community Customer Experience Zap Cap Coach

Zap Cap Systems® kicks off another season honoring local coaches

As the Tampa Bay Lightning celebrates its 25th anniversary, Tampa Electric’s Zap Cap Systems is proud to be partnering with the team for a third season in honoring youth coaches in our community.

Nominations for the Coach of the Month are received from across Tampa Bay and each month of the season, a youth coach is honored. Winners receive a personalized Lightning jersey and $1,000. Winning coaches have been very generous with their prize – every Coach of the Month has donated the $1,000 to a local non-profit, often one with very personal meaning.

“It is such an honor to recognize community heroes who give so much heart and time to mentoring our youth through sports and extracurricular activities,” said Monica Whiting, Vice President Customer Experience for Tampa Electric. “As a mom of three boys, I am so grateful for the various community volunteers, coaches, teachers and mentors who helped positively influence and shape my sons’ lives to help make them better young adults.”

Whiting congratulated the October Coach of the Month Joseph Neimas, manager of the George Jenkins Eagles hockey club. Coach Neimas generously donated his prize to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home. Congratulations Coach Neimas!

Zap Cap Systems is proud to support the strength of youth coaches across our communities. Anyone can nominate a youth or high school coach in the Greater Tampa Bay area for consideration. For more information on how you can nominate a deserving youth coach, go to www.tampabaylightning.com/ZapCap.
